Newt Gingrich Offers GOP Election Strategy Amid Growing Concerns Over Fraud

Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich shared strategic advice for the GOP on Fox News Monday, emphasizing the intense competition in the upcoming elections and addressing concerns about potential election interference.

During his appearance on “Jesse Watters Primetime,” Gingrich discussed the elections against a backdrop of increasing worries about election integrity. Host Jesse Watters raised the case of Craig Callaway, a former Atlantic City councilman charged with absentee ballot fraud, accused of influencing elections by delivering blocks of absentee ballots to officials.

Gingrich questioned the credibility of individuals engaged in fraudulent activities and stressed the importance of implementing specific rules and regulations for an “honest election,” proposing a system akin to the “French model.” However, he acknowledged the current electoral landscape and offered advice for Republicans to navigate the existing rules.

To secure victory this year, Gingrich recommended that Republicans focus on early voter turnout, particularly in major cities like Philadelphia, and actively engage in preventing potential voter theft. Emphasizing the competitive nature of the elections, he urged Republicans to outvote Democrats by a significant margin to prevent any possibility of electoral manipulation.

Gingrich concluded by highlighting the urgency of the situation, stating, “This is a real fight. The Democrats understand this is life and death.”

As the general election approaches, early polls indicate a tight race between former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. A recent Emerson College poll showed Trump with a slim lead, garnering 45% of the 1,225 registered voters surveyed compared to Biden’s 44%, with approximately 11% undecided.
