Meghan McCain Floats Lawsuit Against “The View” Over Defamatory Comparison to Hunter Biden

Meghan McCain, former co-host of “The View,” has hinted at the possibility of legal action against the show, claiming that it made “defamatory and slanderous” statements by drawing a parallel between her and Hunter Biden.

During a recent episode, co-host Ana Navarro criticized McCain without explicitly mentioning her name, accusing her of leveraging her family name for influence peddling. Navarro’s comments were made in defense of Joe and Hunter Biden amid House Republicans’ investigation into alleged influence-peddling.

Navarro’s remarks led to confusion among the co-hosts before they realized that McCain was the subject. Responding to the situation, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin jokingly mentioned wanting to clear their names.

McCain, who served as the conservative voice on the show for four seasons, expressed her frustration and threatened to pursue a libel lawsuit. In a statement, she said, “I don’t understand why my former colleagues @TheView@ABC bring me up and slander me on an almost weekly basis. It has been years – move on, I have.”

McCain vehemently denied any involvement in influence peddling, emphasizing her clean record. She underscored that not all politicians’ children are the same and insisted she is not akin to Hunter Biden.

The controversy arises amidst ongoing investigations into the Biden family’s financial dealings, with bank records revealing significant amounts received from foreign agents between 2014 and 2019. House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer released bank records indicating financial transactions involving the Biden family and Chinese business associates. Former business partner Devon Archer testified that Hunter Biden frequently spoke with his father on speakerphone in the presence of business associates, shedding light on potential connections between the Bidens and foreign entities.
