Investigation Underway into Unusual Drone Activity Near Trump Golf Club in New Jersey
Authorities are investigating a series of mysterious drone sightings in northern New Jersey, including areas near President-elect Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf club.
Multiple videos have surfaced showing drones flying over Somerset and Morris counties in recent weeks. Notably, on Dec. 1 and Dec. 3, drones were observed in the region. A video from Nov. 25, captured by Morris County resident Mike Walsh, shows three drones flying near Black River Middle School in Chester. Walsh is heard in the video saying, “I can see three drones right in this view. I see them coming right this way.”
The sightings have been concentrated near the Morris County border, which is just two miles north of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, located in Somerset County. Additional drone sightings have been reported in towns such as Bernardsville, Mendham, and Parsippany.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed to Fox News Digital on Tuesday that an unusual drone was also spotted over northern and central New Jersey on Nov. 18. In response, the FAA issued two temporary flight restrictions (TFRs), one of which covers the airspace above Trump National Golf Club. These restrictions are in effect until the end of this week.
The FAA stated that the TFRs were implemented at the request of federal security partners, prohibiting drone flights over both Trump’s golf club and the nearby Picatinny Arsenal Military Base.
