In a development unveiled on Friday, House Judiciary Committee chairman Jim Jordan shared that a fresh whistleblower has reportedly emerged from Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ office.
The revelation took place during Jordan’s appearance at the 2024 Conservative Political Action (CPAC) Conference in Washington D.C., where he discussed additional findings following the issuance of a subpoena to Willis in early February. The subpoena sought documents linked to an investigation into allegations of federal fund misuse by Willis. During a Q&A session at the conference, former White House Political Director Matt Schlapp inquired about Willis’ response to the committee. Jordan stated that while she was expected to submit the requested documents, no response had been received thus far.
Schlapp humorously alluded to Willis’ personal life, mentioning her boyfriend, fellow attorney Nathan Wade. Jordan confirmed they had not heard from either of them. The chairman went on to reveal the existence of a whistleblower within Willis’ office who had communicated with the committee staff. This disclosure prompted applause from the CPAC audience.
Describing the whistleblower as being of short stature, Jordan shared details of the circumstances surrounding her departure from Willis’ office. Allegedly, the whistleblower raised concerns about Willis’ handling of federal funds, leading to her termination. Jordan emphasized the significance of the subpoena for records and documents related to the matter.
Additionally, Jordan highlighted the unconventional method by which the subpoena was served, mentioning that U.S. Marshals were involved, despite prior communication between the offices. He noted that Willis’ attitude had been on display during a recent court appearance.
The controversy surrounding Willis and Wade’s relationship first surfaced in January through a court motion filed by representatives of former Trump campaign official Michael Roman. The motion claimed that Willis had financially benefited from the relationship, an accusation she vehemently denies. Willis recently took the stand in a hearing regarding her potential disqualification from the case against former President Donald Trump.
