CBS Host Challenges South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem Over Claims in New Book

During an appearance on “Face the Nation,” Republican South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem faced scrutiny from CBS host Margaret Brennan regarding assertions made in her upcoming book, “No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward.”

Brennan pressed Noem on a passage in the book describing a meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, which Noem likened to a “little tyrant.” In response, Noem acknowledged the error in the passage, stating that adjustments had been made upon its discovery.

When questioned further by Brennan about the alleged meeting with Kim Jong-Un, Noem declined to provide specific details, emphasizing her extensive experience in international relations without confirming or denying the encounter.

Despite the controversy surrounding the book, particularly a story involving her decision to euthanize her dog, Cricket, Noem defended her actions, characterizing the book as a reflection of her life’s challenges and tough decisions.
